  Uncle George has released another revision of Java 2 for AlphaLinux. Since his non-commercial license has expired this will be the final release. It is available from ftp.alphalinux.org.

  Compaq, API and Samsung have expanded their relationship with the signing of a document that will result in $500 million combined investment in Alpha. * New SRM Howto

  Now available is a new version of the SRM Howto. Included in this update is information on booting from IDE devices, loading RedHat 6.0 and SuSE 6.1 from SRM and more information on disk partitioning using BSD disklabels.

* New Dump Package for Debian

* New Mailing Lists Available

  BMRT (Blue Moon Rendering Tools) version 2.5beta is now available for AlphaLinux. BMRT are a collection of rendering programs which adhere to the RenderMan(R) interface standard.
