August 20th 1999
The Register is reporting
that NT on Alpha may be coming to an end. It seems there will
be no Win2000 for Alpha and the future of Win64 on Alpha is
unknown. Compaq is going to concentrate their Alpha efforts on
Tru64Unix and Linux. (While this strictly isn't an AlphaLinux
story, we though it was of value). UpdateThis
article has appeared on ZDNet, thought here is still no
word from Microsoft or Compaq.
