UP1000 (Nautilus) and UP1100 (Galaxy Train)
UP1000
The UP1000 is the second motherboard to come from Alpha Processor Inc. (API).
Is used API's slot-B processor cartridge in combination with the AMD751 (Irongate) core logic chipset. The Slot-Bs
are available as either 600MHz with 2MB cache or 700MHz with 4MB cache. This is the first Alpha motherboard
to support AGP. Also on the board are 4 PCI slots, 2 ISA slots, USB and the ALI dual channel IDE controller. The UP1000
supports up to 768MB of PC100 unbuffered ECC memory with 3 memory banks.
Kernels starting with kernel version 2.2.14 have support for the UP1000. Kernels should be compiled
as either Generic or Nautilus.

Things to watch out for:
- X Windows and hwclock: There needs to be a symbolic link in /etc from alpha_systype to Tsunami
for these programs to work. The file Tsunami does not need to exist in /etc, just the link needs to
be present. To make this link, from the / directory type:
ln -s Tsunami /etc/alpha_systype
UP1100
The UP1100 is the third motherboard to come from Alpha Processor Inc. (API).
The UP1100 is very similar to the UP1000 except that the CPU is now soldered to the board, there's on board ethernet (Tulip)
and sound, and the ALI IDE controller support UDMA-66 instead of just UDMA-33 on the UP1000. The UP1100 has one AGP, three
PCI and no ISA slots. Currently the UP1100 is only available in a 600MHz 2MB cache version.
Kernels starting with kernel version 2.2.14 have support for the UP1100. Kernels should be compiled
as either Generic or Nautilus.
