Subject: [suse-axp] netscape only runs as root (and RH incompatibilities)

I am running SuSE 6.4 on PWS433au and PWS 500au in a heterogeneous
network (I have also some RedHat on K7 and K6). To fit both enviroments is
actually a pain in the neck. SuSE Pine uses home/Mail rather than
home/mail as in RedHat, openssh built from alphalinux.org src.rpm
requires different configuration of pam, etc. However all these crazy
problems were already solved (or circumvented). The remainning one
concerns Nerdscape:
I can run it as root (actually also as any other LOCAL user). The weird
thing is NIS users can start it, it loads but it does not display :( All
other X apps that I have tried (emacs, xterm, gnome, etc.) are working
fine.
Any clue?
