Hi,
        I just had the same problem with potato and the tga server. In
my case, I opened xcalc and the whole system froze (i.e. I cannot change
to a non-graphical terminal or kill the xserver using cntrl-alt-bspace).
This is a Multia alpha.

Hi,

I have troubles getting X11 working properly on my
AlphaServer 400 with potato.

When I open an xterm as non privileged user, the X server
(XF86_TGA) freezes. The problem do not occur as superuser.

Any idea?
