SUMMARY

Thanks all for the debugging info. The problem seems to be gcc version
2.95.2. The problem doesn't appear with 2.95.3 and 2.96 on similar
hardware. Only ev6 and ev67 seem to be affected.

This all has had very little testing, so I could be totally wrong.
