I am new to this list and the world of Alphas so please excuse my
ignorance..
I am trying to install Redhat 6 on an Alpha 1000 4/200
I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version V5.3-89
and I have made the two disks from the image directory kernel.img and
ramdisk.img.
When I issue the following command at the prompt
>>> boot dva0 -file vmlinux.gz -flags "root=/dev/fd0 loadramdisk=1"
It gets a fair way through and then I get the error
halted CPU 0
halt code =6
double error halt
PC = fffffc000031bc4c
I also tried creating a Milo disk and then booting the kernel disk but
without any luck.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
regards,
Anthony
