the link you gave looked helpful, do you know what version of linux those
instructions are for? it looks like 6.0. Did you write them? If so, you
just wrote them in theory and have not actually gotten them to work,
correct? I'll give them a try first thing tomorrow.

I recommend getting the minlabel.exe from ftp.alphalinux.org, using the
default partitioning, and making sure the root partition is type "ext2".
