Please beware advice like this. About 20% of my XP1000s on-board tulip
chips don't work at all with the latest tulip version, and another 20%
only do 10 megabits.
I've been encouraging Compaq to spend money to either pay Don to fix
tulip to handle these weird chips, or have Compaq engineers start
adding support for new systems as they come out.
