Another option:
There is an onboard 44pin IDE connector (right behind the box that holds
the floppy drive) that will handle a 2.5 inch IDE drive. (IDE and not
EIDE though.) I believe www.harddata.com carries the 44 pin ribbon cable
for this. I have not tested this.
