This is not surprising at all. I'm not sure that those were meant to be
used on alphas. I'm about to work on a few patches, so I'll take a look
at this as well...

I have no idea if they're maintained, but I highly doubt that anyone uses
them on Alpha. It should be simple to fix, given your description,
though. Does anyone have one of these devices? Just curious...
