Hmmm...I have nearly the same selections on an SX (generic kernel) and it
worked fine. The only thing that I didn't bother selecting is the Intel
ELF binary support (don't have a need, personally). In fact, I run the
Tru64 setiathome client on my SX without problems at all.

Yes, it should be :-) There have been many improvements in the VM code
that really help speed things up under small-moderate load. Supposedly,
it's still falling on its face when heavily loaded, but I haven't hit that
point yet.
