I have it and like it a lot. People used to Word97 complain that it is
primitive and lacks the features they like, personally I find it to be
concise and very stable. Office97 imports work OK for what they are, no
worse than any other package trying to make sense of MS' minced formats.
I originally had the Intel version but when I got my Alpha I got a copy
for it too. I have run it on my old UDB where it worked nicely and now
on my LX where it also runs well. Tried WordPerfect and Staroffice on
Intel and still prefer Applix although if WordPerfect was available for
Alpha it would be a good choice just for a word processor. Staroffice is
low on my list of wants for Alpha, too heavy even on a fast Intel and much
too much like Office97.
