If I understand them correctly, jumbo frames are a feature of gigabit
which can't be done on fast ethernet. So no os supports them on fast
ethernet.
Supporting them for gigE on alpha linux is up to the driver, and most
of them do. You also need support in your switch.
This is a pain when you have a bunch of fast ethernet nodes and a gigE
server... and you'd like to use jumbo frames for efficiency, but you
can't because all the senders are fast ethernet.
