Alexey,
When bad blocks begin to appear on disk (you will receive errors during boot
time scans or manual fschk) the disk will soon fail. The process is not
reversible, use this time to obtain a new disk which the AHA1742 EISA
controller can understand (I believe it must be under 9GB).
Good luck,

What is required to do for SCSI winchester with badblocks?
It is known that controller goes to mark badblocks himself.
It is good for any SCSI adapters that allows to do lowlevel format.
What about Jensen with AHA-1742 ?
Once winchester get a badblock we just can put it into basket ?
Alexey
