I have had similar experiences with a sx164 system.
SRM V5.6-3, Symbios SCSI, no ide.
I downloaded iso from local mirror and burned a readable CD.
It has not been recognized during floppy bootup or booted directly from CD.
(boot dka100.1.0.7.0 -flags 0)
block 0 of dka100.1.0.7.0 is a valid boot block
reading 163 blocks from dka100.1.0.7.0
failed to read dka100.1.0.7.0
bootstrap failure
This works with a production SuSE v6.3 disk The difference being
boot dka100 -fl 0
...
reading 155 blocks from dka100.1.0.7.0
bootstrap code read in
...
jumping to bootstrap code
I used cdrecord to burn the iso and it seems to have worked properly. Is there a
better choice?
