In theory, this should work. I'll repro on mine using rh7. Do you indeed have the adaptec 2940UW? I do, I know I do, and Compaq confirmed the diagnosis for me very
kindly, adding that they were very happy that I had provided an excellent test configuration for their next version of the JumpStart CD. I was relieved in the end to know
that, in fact, I was officially SOL on SRM. I sorta wish there WAS a message that just said, "Use this damned driver." :-) And yes, I am still a newbie.

Using AlphaBIOS 5.9, I have installed RH 6.2 using milo and thence to the cd. I have the RH 7 CDs and will attempt to install 7 tomorrow, just to see if I can.
