Hello Steve!
The downgrade of the srm to 1.7 is only needed for elsa winner 1000
isa/eisa twinbus cards. Presumably the cards bios is picky. So if you do
not own such a graphic card, you probably can stick with 1.8. I think
there are even poeple who managed to use the latest srm (2.2 or
something???) in their jensens. But you probably have to use aboot 0.7
instead of 0.5. But you should do that anyway.
