Same here. We are running our external smtp layer on postfix
and alphalinux since may 1999 without having any problem, except
some minor interoperability problems with some crappy MTAs
grossly violating RFC822.
Antispam rules are a delight to play with.

We will move also the internal layer from sendmail to postfix as
soon as we can (we have a few issues related to interaction
between virtual domains, aliases, virtual mailboxes and userdb
to be addressed before doing the transition).

Moreover, the postfix users mailing list gives excellent support,
in large part coming from Venema himself.
