  Hello everyone.

I have an unusual network problem. I just downloaded and compiled 2.3.49
kernel and it seemed to compile with no problems. I used the configuration as
my previous kernel compilations (I did it so many times, that I remember it).
However, when I boot the new kernel, this is what happens:

dmesg:
>Linux version 2.3.49 (root@yakov.dls.net) (gcc version egcs-2.91.66
>19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)) #4 Thu Mar 2 23:12:58 CST 2000

That is all correct - I do have AS200 4/233 with these network cards, just as
I configured (advanced router with netfilters). At this point I get a data
light on my cable modem. Then the RH6.1 starts the scripts and right after the
lines:

>Bringing up interface eth0: [OK]
>Bringing up interface eth1: [OK]

the light on cable modem goes off. Then after I login I can't ping either
networks (internal nor external). I did recompile the kernel with verbose
messages and that's what I'm randomly get:

...............

The rest of kernel seems to work flawlessly, I don't get any error or core
dumps when accessing fs.

Apology for this long message, but if you know what it can be, please help
me.

 Thank you in advance,
