I did try that on Alpha.

Just to check if I am not dreaming I hit this ctrl-alt-del on EB64+
running at the moment 2.2.2-ac5. A regular 'shutdown -r' happened.
And I know that LX and UX with 2.2 series kernels acted the same way.
Maybe there is a difference between machines booting from ARC (and
similar) and those booting from SRM? I rather supect something
different between glibc2 and pre-releases glibc2.1. Was 'init'
recompiled? With possibly different layout of some structures
maybe this signal is not caught?
Does 'ctrlaltdel' utility has any effect for you?
