I've just looked into this recently, and to date there
is still no 3D acceleration support. XFree86-4.0 does
have 2D support so at least you can make use of the
card. There is some preliminary Glide support for
the Voodoo2 (see the repository at www.alphalinxu.org/cvs).
>From what I can gather, the DRI and Glide need to work
on Alpha before anything else can happen. I hope someday
this is a reality. :-/
