You could probably use an SRM update, if there is
one available, but not for this. If the command
you used before:
boot dka400 -fi /kernels/generic.gz -fl "root=/dev/scd0"
got you to X, then
boot dka400 -fi /kernels/generic.gz -fl "root=/dev/scd0 text"
SHOULD get you to the text install. What error messages
do you see? As the kernel starts up, check and see what
device the kernel sees for the CDROM. Are you sure it's
/dev/scd0?
