Hi

Thanx for your memory question to the list!!!!

I had my 2nd Multia (Which had NT4, now has RH5.1) fail.... Nothing I had
tried could revive it. Until I saw the tin vs. gold post to the list. Took
out the RAM (which is TIN), used a gum eraser to both sides of pins (4
16meg sticks) and viola... Up for 18 hours with no hint of a problem....

How long were the simms in before I had problems?? 10 months.......

Vertical is by far the best way to go.... These baby's get hot especially
with a 1+G drive inside..

Thanx again for your perfect timing...

Regards

Bill B

I broke the stand that my last Multia needs to be vertical. I have
searched high and low (calling Starship and CPU Micromart even) looking
for a stand and I can't find one anywhere. Any thoughts on how to keep
this baby vertical?

As an aside, the person I talked to at Starship was shocked that I was
asking about Multias at all, saying they haven't sold anything on them
since the summer of 1999....
