Alternatively, milo can also be run from a DOS formatted floppy disk.
This, of course, requires you to point the ARC bootselection towards
the floppy instead of the harddrive. You may want to try this route in
case you feel uncomfortable with the harddrive setup.

I usually try to avoid Disk Druid. I use fdisk instead. IIRC, you are given
the option to use fdisk for HDD partitioning in the install process.
If you use fdisk, create the first primary partition on the drive using
the 'n' 'p' '1' key sequence. Then use 't' to toggle the partition type.
You are then being asked for a partition type - 'l'' gives you a
list. I used FAT12, which is type 1.
For the size of the partition, I typically used the first cylinder of
the HDD, which gives you a few Mbytes on most modern
drives - which is plenty of room for linload and milo.
After that, allocate any subsequent partitions for linux following the
above procedure, except using patition types 83 ( linux ) and
82 ( linux swap ) when appropriate.
I used disk druid after fdisk only to set mount points.
Please keep in mind, that I recalled this from memory - you milage
may vary - since I use SRM + own installproc today.
Unfortunatly, I cannot comment on your other questions,
since I do not have access to a ruffian.
