running redhat 5.2 on an 21164

I was looking over the alpha-errata at redhat.com
and one such errata says to get around the package select problem with
glint, i need to download a new ramdisk, i did so. and dd'd it to a
floppy... so my question is What now ? just boot with a boot/root disk
combo? what do i do with the new ramdisk ?
