Greetings,
Thinking about a PCI TV tuner card for a 500a Miata and heard that
the Hauppaugge (or however you spell it) WinTV card works fine. Looking
at a vendor's page (www.mcglen.com), I see four different WinTV packages:
1. WINTV 125 CHANNEL TV TUNER & DIGITAL DIGITIZER WIN 98 COMPATIBLE 404
2. WINTV 125 CHANNEL TV TUNER W/ VIDEO CAPT./CONF. & W/DBX STEREO 400
3. WINTV DBX TV STEREO 125CHNL TV TUNER W/FM STEREO RADIO PCI 401
4. WINTV WITH COLOR CAMERA BUNDLED WITH STEREO WINTVCARD 447
Now granted, the fourth option obviously differs just by the
addition of a color camera. I am simply interested in displaying cable
channels to a workstation's 19" monitor (quite an upgrade from my current
TV's 3" diag. screen) and could care less about whether it also receives
FM radio, does video conferencing, bakes pizza, etc.
Anyone familiar with the Hauppaugge WinTV line and have a
recommendation for which models work with the Miata, and which model would
provide a good choice for basic cable decoding?
Thanks in advance,
Daniel
