Most ISA cards can only do 16MB DMA (;-}), but the aha152x supports also
PIO and the Linux drivers did IMHO not use DMA for AIC-6[23]60 based
cards at all, so "double buffering" is not required.
But the driver was/is really very problematic (also on many intel systems).
