Are you sure you've got a recent milo? I was having similar problems a
while back when I switched from 2.0.xx to 2.1.124. It turns out my
milo (for my PC164) was quite old, and recent(?) 2.1 kernels require a
newer milo than what I had. I installed a more recent one, and have
had no problems since (Thanks, rth).
Tools are as follows:
mrl@delenn 23:20 $ gcc -v
Reading specs from
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/alphaev5-unknown-linux-gnu/egcs-2.91.60/specs
gcc version egcs-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1 release)
mrl@delenn 23:20 $ ld -v
GNU ld version 2.9.1 (with BFD 2.9.1.0.15)
Carpe viam,
Mike
