Hi,

I have seen this once before, with RH 4. For some reason, if I used
a browser on an Intel box to download the image, then it failed, but
if I used an ftp client, I was able to download a working image.

Subject: end_request error

>I am trying to install Redhat Linux 5.2 on a DEC 2000 AXP, known as Jensen. I did everything that was in the DEC Howto, including downgrade the Firmware to 1.7 and everything is fine except after I boot the kernel, it asks for the ramdisk image, I put it in and after it had read it for about a minute an error message comes up saying: end_request: I/O error, dev 01:00 sector 8***

I have tried different floppies, brand new ones, about 5 of them, I tried re-downloading the image file and I also tried a different floppy drive, but no effect it always gives the same error on the same sectors. Anybody have any ideas about what I can do?
