Does anyone have a working egcs-1.1.1 ?

I'm trying to get this 2.1.132 kernel with ac3 patches to boot properly
so i went to rawhide and grabed the latest egcs and depends which
include:
binutils-2.9.1.0.19a-1.alpha.rpm
cpp-1.1.1-2.alpha.rpm
 libstdc++-2.9.0-2.alpha.rpm
 libstdc++-devel-2.9.0-2.alpha.rpm

I installed egcs-1.1.1-2.alpha.rpm and then egcs -c++ which had a
conflict with libstdc++-devel (/usr/lib/libstdc++.a) so I did a Uvh and
it worked. I went to my kernel tree and did make mrproper and then make
config. Here's the error I got when I did make config.
[[root@alphagen linux]# make config
rm -f include/asm
( cd include ; ln -sf asm-alpha asm)
egcs -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -o
scripts/split-include scripts/split-include.c
egcs: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-redhat-linux/egcs-2.91.60/specs: Invalid
argument
make: *** [scripts/split-include] Error 1

Is anyone else having this problem? I don't know what to do. Thanks.

Peter Petrakis
