To those who care:
Well, I'm close to getting the extensions working on Alpha (with apache) with a few mods to the sourcecode. I have the modified apache-fp working properly. (at least it runs) The webserver works perfectly, but every time someone tries to use frontpage to modify a web, I get an error in the error_log saying "FrontPage SUID Error: not running as root".
Now, I know that I have all the permissions correct, and suid bits set, and Apache doesn't run as root ever (unless you want to have a BIG secutiy hole...) so anyone know what's up?
If you're interested, I'm putting together a HOWTO on this process if I can get over this last hump.
Any thoughts appreciated!
-Jim Howard
PS: I'm using Apache 1.3.3 with the latest frontpage patch from www.rtr.com on alpha Redhat 5.2, with a stock kernel.
