I have a DEC 2000, otherwise known as Jensen, and am trying to install Redhat Linux 5.2 on it. I followed all the instructions found on DEC's FTP site, including downgrading the firmware. My problem is this: I boot the kernel, just like it is explained in the documentation, (boot -fl install dka*), the kernel boots fine and then asks for the floppy, I put the ramdisk floppy in and after about a minute of reading the disk, it starts gets this error: end_request: I/O error, dev 01:00, sector 8***
The error starts at about sector 8000 and goes to about 8190. I have tried different floppy disks, (5 of them, all brand new). I have tried downloading the floppy image again. I have even replaced the floppy drive with a different one. No matter what I do I always get this error with the same bad sectors. I saw a post saying that it had to be the floppy disk or drive, but I have ruled out both of those as the cause, anybody have any ideas???
