Hi,
  With a little help, 2.3.47 built on my Alpha and the thread problem
I've previously had have gone.

  HOWEVER!! DANGER!! It made a real mess of one of my filesystems
(It has taken the latest e2fsprogs and the use of debugfs to get it
back...)
