The real reason it's not working is that the KGPSA-CA is an Emulex
adapter, not a QLogic one, and as you stated the Emulex drivers are
still for Intel only and binary at that. They really need to learn what
"Open Source" means before they use a trademark in a press release,
MHO. As for getting the Emulex adapters working on Alpha Linux - we're
working on it AFAIK, but it's going slowly.
Mohan - your best bet is to get a QLogic 2200 FC adapter and use the
driver you're using. According to the GFS site, it has done fairly well
under load, IIRC. You should be able to order it from Compaq (Part
#167433-B21). The last message I had was that it was still undergoing
qual, but I doubt we'll find anything to keep you from at least trying
it out. Of course, that statement is not meant to imply any warranty on
the part of Compaq (ick... I feel like a lawyer now... ;) Let me know
if you have problems...
