Thanks Chris,
That unlocked the modem like a champ, I still cannot get the minicom
program to display. I will run "minicom &" as root and I see the pid
and then if I hit enter a second later I see either +suspended (tty
output) or stoped (tty output). What on earth is the box stopping and
suspending the app for?
