Have you hooked up a terminal yet to see if you are getting console on serial?
Is there a keyboard plugged in to the UDB??

If you have no keyboard it will revert to serial console.
Also, if you get a console on serial ( no keyboard plugged in) check
"console mode" at the SRM prompt.
If set to serial type at the SRM prompt: "set console_mode VGA"
