Hi
I have a PC164 running Redhat 1.6 (2.2.14) with 3 network cards, one to the
office,
one to a fixed IP internet leased line and one to a cable modem (DHCP).
I installed the cable modem last week, and for the first time, the Alpha
crashed,
the first time in over 14 months.
I run IP chains and IP policy routing to allow the office to connect to the
net via
the cable modem, but still allowing the alpha to maintain it's permanent ID
on the
net via the leased line.
The complete lockup occurs when I stream packets via the alpha from the
Cable Modem
to any machine in the office. Like listening to a web radio station (JJJ in
Australia @ 20kbs)
If there is no prolonged traffic the machine just keeps going..
Any clues ??
