Hi

I compiled linux-2.2.1-ac3. While running a
program of mine (which uses lots of cpu-time
and also high nfs-usage) I got the following
message once:

> kmem_alloc: Bad poison (name=size-256)

while i was greping trough the kernel-sources
(and found the msg in mm/slab.c) the computer
just froze. Only reset could start it again.

I had troubles with this computer since right
from the beginning. Sometimes I get segfaults,
sometimes kernel-opps, sometimes it just reboots
and now it hangs...

I don't know, do i maybe have a hw-problem?

I tried many different kernels 2.2.6-2.3.10
with many different patches (ac, rth, and
some clues from the this mailing-list) but
it never worked stable.

I have two identical machines and the other
one is running fine (uptime >30 days) with
kernel 2.2.7-ac1. But there might be some
differences in the kernelconfig and in the
installed rpms.

do you have some helpfull tips for me?

bye
 dworz

config of the troublemaker:
-SX164
-Mem: 128MB

-OS: RH5.2 with all updates ~1 Month ago

update:
i just tried it again after reboot (and fsck...)
and that's what i got when running my program:
