Need terminology explained.

  Now that I have a running system, I need to find a place that will explain
some of the terms I have been hearing on this list, like:

AXP
Jensen
UDB
EV56
pc164
and so on.

  I see explanations in the how-to's but I'm not sure how to relate them to my system.
I have an AS400 4/166. Are there other terms that this is refered by?

  I was also wondering about my version of firmware. How do I find what version
I have? What is the latest version? Should I upgrade to it? how do I upgrade?
These don't seem to be mentioned in the how-to's.
