An update on tests. I've moved a couple hundred GB of data
to/from the Promise attached drives without a problem. I
see 20+MB/sec using Maxtor 40GB 7200RPM drives. 
Copying from a drive on the primary to a drive on the
secondary channel shows an aggregate thruput above 35MB/sec.
This is using 2.2.15pre17. So, it looks like the Promise PCI
card is now functional and stable, at least on my UP2K running
SMP.
