Some of us would say you have no business using 4 or more *fonts* in a
document when there are perfectly good tags that allow the viewer to
pick a font that's legible on his screen. <insert entire "fonts"
section from the word processing chapter of _Dave Barry in
Cyberspace_> But I digress ...

If they're TrueType fonts, you merely need to run xfstt on the Linux
machine and copy the *.ttf files from your Windows system. Works fine
on Intel, not certain about Alphas (haven't tried it), and seems to
take out the X server when used with Netscape on Sparcs.
