Accelerated X is an X server (a commercial equivalent of XFree86), and
Window Maker is a window manager. You (typically) need one X server
and one window manager -- the combination gives your desktop. The
relative speeds of the various X servers will affect the speed of your
setup, as will the relative speeds of the large selection of window
managers. Hope this helps.
