Thanks for you suggestion! But ...
... isn't there a way to catch this thing with some peace of software?
How does this fan fail alarm work? Is it hard wired on the motherboard?
The thing is that I am afraid I won't be able to do some hardware solution
on my own. I hoped there would be some way to do this in software--and
that someone would have solved this problem already!
On the other hand: how long does it take for an Alpha CPU to die without
working fan on the heat sink?
