This may be a little more UNIXy of a solution than you want, but it worked
for me. :-)
PGP5.0i (IIRC) compiled on Alpha with a few minor hand patchings. At first
I tried using a pine send-filter, but I didn't really like the way it
worked. Since I wanted to have a lot of text-editing flexibility in the
composer, I switched to vim (as the composer within pine). Now I just
filter the portions of the text I want to sign through pgps with vim. :-)
