Hello, I just finished compiling apache 1.3.0 with php2 and php3
modules. I need the php2 for a way old site. I followed the
instructions at ww.php.net, and everythign seems to compile fine, the
modules is applied correctly and everything is fine. Except,
I try start the httpd and it just doesnt start up. Reports no errors at
all. If I start it using "apachectl start" it reports "httpd started up"

but the http daemon is no where to be found in the process list and
ofcourse there is no reply at all on port 80. I've gone over
the config files, but even if there was an error in these, the daemon
would report it before exiting ..? It seems really strange
and frustrating. Anyone experienced this? I have no clue at all. the php
modules is compiles with support for postgres and msql.

I would really appreciate feedback if anyone has a clue to what might be
causing this.
