I don't know precisely how it is designed. AFAIK, it has a scsi chipset on
board (symbios logic). (**I am hypothesizing here). The IDE controller is
a device on the scsi bus with ide 0 and 1 somehow converted to scsi 0 and
scsi 1.

I can make some photos of it for whomever is interested in it. I am not
going to post them to the group, but if you are interested, let me know. I
also received an email-datasheet from the company that I will send if
anyone is interested.
