Thanks again all.. I ended up doing the 3-floppy install, with a
linload disk, a vmlinux.gz disk and the ramdisk. It got into RH
install, but it still couldn't read from either of my CD's.. right
now I'm just going to try a hard disk install.. since whatever
network card is in this machine isn't detected by anything.
