I'm a little confused at your explanation. By your reasoning, no OS that I
install on the system should work properly. I have installed NT and DU on
the machines (as200 and udb) AND booted the linux kernel from srm -- the KB
works fine under these circumstance. Only when I do a floppy-based install
using ARC to boot MILO does the problem surface.
Also, the AS200 is flashed to latest ARC (v.4.57 Sept 1998) and still
exhibits the problem when booting to MILO.
Additionally, the udb`s all use the PS/2 type connector for signaling,
which (if I remember correctly) wasn't debuted by IBM as a standard until
FAR after the PC/AT design. In fact, its name tells you its vintage.
Do you have some specific links I can check out on this? i.e. KVM type 1
type 2 stuff?
Thanks for the info
