I am running 2 XL300 systems with the built in ncr53c810 scsi adapters
and a Qlogic ISP 1040B UW in each with no problems.
However, Redhat 5.1 was a pain with this config, as the install program
would not see the second card (the Qlogic in my case) without boot
params passed during install initialization. RH5.2 seemingly fixed this,
as I had no problems installing 5.2 on both systems.
I may have had 'no worries' as I used two cards that are specifically
supported by the AlphaBios. I wonder what a NCR/SymBios 53c875 card
would work like in my system config..?? (spaking of which, what cards
ARE specifically supported by the AlphaBios?).
